What a wedding planner does during the winter? The job of a wedding planner is not a seasonal job at all, rather! E’ a continuous cycle of planning, organization and management of events, which takes place throughout the year certainly with peaks of activity in spring and summer.
Surely the most important part is always that of Planning. In the meantime, we begin to organize the calendar with the dates already booked and those available for the following season's weddings. Then they take place meetings with the spouses, both in person and online, to define the mood, the number of guests, the rental, the entertainment during the reception and obviously the budget available.
Then one of the most challenging phases begins, Meaning what the search for locations. I then select the locations that fit the style and budget of the bride and groom and then I organize inspections in Liguria and beyond.
Then I have to manage the providers, then the selection and search for photographers begins, florists, catering, musicians, etc.
At the end of this phase the phase of “Prove”: Menu tasting, dress try, try hair and makeup.
In all these rehearsals I always accompany the bride and groom and am at their disposal for advice, suggestions or alternative proposals.
With spouses who come from abroad it is often not easy to manage video calls, as we are in different time zones, and so I often find myself in a video conference at dawn or late at night…
As you can imagine my schedule is always very busy, especially in spring! As the date of the ceremony approaches, every married couple wants to speed up and be sure that everything is ready, organized and absolutely perfect.! It is therefore necessary to carry out the final inspections, remedy any unexpected events but above all…always keep calm. In many years of experience this has always been my best quality and ability, I reassure the spouses and always have an alternative ready for any type of unexpected event.
The unexpected in fact, in front of such an important event that involves so many people, they are inevitable: whatever you plan, even many months in advance, always has the possibility of the unexpected. An experienced wedding planner knows that it is important to never panic and handle every situation calmly and professionally. Also because the spouses are already under stress, the wedding is an important event for them and their family, and the last thing they need is a nervous and agitated wedding planner.
I'll also tell you my secret: calm is contagious. If the wedding planner is calm, even the spouses will be more inclined to remain calm and face every situation with serenity. But above all, always remember that your wedding day must be the most beautiful day of your life!
