Vanessa and Christian arrived from Germany to celebrate a Protestant wedding… in full Italian style! These two young and beautiful spouses are great travelers and during a holiday in Liguria they fell in love with Genoa and the magical village of Boccadasse.
They love all of Italy, but the little one Boccadasse it had remained in their hearts and so they asked me to get married right in the little church of the picturesque Ligurian village.
Vanessa and Christian are Protestant, I therefore contacted the Genoese curia and completed the necessary procedures to obtain permission to organize the Protestant ceremony in the Catholic church that the spouses had chosen.
The ceremony was moving and evocative, in fact, it was a woman who celebrated the function, Jutta Sperber, Pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Nervi, who spoke fluent Italian and German. The ceremony took place in the morning and at the end of the service we all toasted with a cold German beer inside the church while we waited for the rain.
Afterwards we went for an aperitif and lunch lunch in the typical fishermen's tavern of the "Ittica Turismo di Boccadasse". A small restaurant with a typically Ligurian menu, based on fresh fish. The delicious Genoese focaccia could not be missing from the aperitif and lunch, first courses with seafood and fried fish.
After lunch the sun began to shine again and so the photographer was able to take beautiful photos of the newlyweds and all the guests. photo on the beach. The guests were alone 40, was a very intimate but truly heartfelt wedding, participated and above all very cheerful and fun like our young spouses.
After a quick change of clothes, for dinner we moved to Vittorio al Mare, the famous restaurant in Boccadasse, where I organized a classic Italian reception with typical Genoese dishes.
Finally we concluded with one wonderful cake, a delicious meringue that was appreciated by all.
For those coming directly from Germany I organized travel and found small apartments to rent. Really lovely apartments, directly on Boccadasse beach, a truly unique location in the world!
